Private Group Travel
“A group of us want to travel to ____, but don’t know where to start!”
-You, hiring me to design an amazing tour for your group, customized to your every quirky interest.
Whether you’re classical musicians wanting to visit the homeland of Mozart, Girl Scouts on a pilgrimage to Juliet Gordon Low’s house, or British History geeks wanting to visit all the castles, I gotchu.
I’ve been designing and guiding group tours abroad for fifteen years. At Weber State University, I designed and taught a variety of Study Abroad tours for a decade, and now I lead global women’s history tours for What’sHerName Podcast listeners. I even taught a class called Maximizing Study Abroad, all about the science and theory of transformative travel.
I deeply appreciate the art of a good itinerary — one that is full of life, but not so full it wears you out. A good itinerary plans for spontaneity and gives you enough time to soak up place. A good itinerary puts you in situations where you can meaningfully connect with real people, and have “aha” moments that make you laugh, cry, and grow. With a good itinerary, you can turn a “trip” into a transformative experience.
I can just design your tour (see “Travel Itineraries”), or I can go with you and be your guide!
I’ve designed so many group tours abroad; here is just a sampling:
Maya History in the Yucatan jungle
Ancient Greece
Ancient Rome
Renaissance Italy
Medieval Europe
Witches and Writers in New England
Ancient History in Turkey
Revolutionary France
Historic Normandy
Jamestown & Williamsburg
The French Enlightenment
Jane Austen’s England
Ireland’s mystical West
Prehistoric megaliths
St. Brigid Pilgrimage - Kildare Ireland
…and so much more.
How it works: it will all start with a convo. Where does your group want to go, what vibe are you seeking? You can give me a list of specific “must dos”, or you can give me a word cloud of the type of experience you seek (“magical, seaside, haunting, pastries, soul nourishing, libraries, natural beauty…”).
I’ll work out a few different options with pricing per person and we go from there!
Prices vary depending on destination, what’s included, time of year, etc.
